Details
Well-socialized puppies develop into safer, more relaxed and enjoyable pet dogs. This is because they’re more comfortable in a wider variety of situations than poorly socialized dogs, so they’re less likely to behave fearfully or aggressively when faced with something new.
Socializing is about experiencing new things. This is a chance for your dog to interact with other puppies, equipment, and humans in a safe environment. We will be giving useful tips on reading body language, understanding healthy boundaries, new exposures and desensitization. Each session will be different from the last.
Please note that this is not just about play, this is about implementing early prevention to allow our dogs to be neutral on all new experiences. Pups learn about taking turns, new exposures to the classroom and other tasks we may try, surfaces, noises, observing, handling and more.
Some socials have no play at all, but still lots of learning.
The really key time for this is 8 – 16 weeks, so don’t miss out!
Approximately 5 socials is a good number but if a pup is more nervous it could be more, if they are overly confident it could be less.
These sessions can have anywhere from 2 to 7 pups.

Puppy Safety
There will not be any formal lessons in these classes.
Not all puppies play on their first day. Safety is always first and for most. Some groups have little to no play but we still work on other things that will be important to your dogs healthy development and build confidence for the next session.
If they play, they can only play for so long before they could over do it and it’s no longer beneficial, so we keep the play short and sweet.
Mats and accidents are cleaned effectively to be sure to kill any virus.
WHAT ABOUT SHOTS?
Full round shots do not need to be completed, it’s best to discuss with your vet or breeder when they think the best time for you to begin is, however many behaviours can be prevented during this time that can be life altering.

**If session is missed and we are notified 6 hours before the start of class your payment will be transferred to your account and can be used towards a full session (family manners, sport dog 1) it will not be transferred to another social. New session must be booked and paid for separately. If we are not notified of your absence 6 hours prior to class beginning you will forgo that payment.
