Fear Free, Pain Free Dog Training that works!
The best training is prevention training and it starts with your relationship and understanding of the dog on the other end of the leash. We start dogs as early as 8 weeks to ensure you end up with the dog you always dreamed of.
Our Trainers are Certified Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT). Being certified means we follow a strict code of ethics and use the most current and up date proven training methods to work with you and your canine companion.
We love working with first time dog owners, dogs needing a bit more confidence, and the small dogs that don't normally get to show just how great they can be. We love all dogs equally and understand no matter what size they should all be trained with the compassion all sentient beings deserve.

What did you have to say?
At Unleashed it's all about the students. The classes we choose each session, the progress we all make it's all because of the students and their positive and encouraging attitudes. Without them Unleashed wouldn't exist.

My large, ‘power breed’, 1-year old pup and I have just completed our Sport Dog Level 1 certificate and my only regret was not having started a course (such as Puppy Kindergarten) with Unleashed Niagara sooner. We went to 2 other trainers in the Niagara region before we landed here. I came into Unleashed thinking I would leave feeling distraught as I had with the others. However, I soon found myself looking forward to coming to Unleashed and I could see the confidence and bond growing between me and my pup after the second session!I soon learned that with a little fun, a light-hearted attitude, clear communication and focus games, many things are possible for a first time dog owner. Looking forward to our next session with Judith! :)

After moving to the area, Unleashed Niagara has been a wonderful place for my two Alaskan Malamutes to continue to train in dog spots. Candice has been a thoughtful and very caring trainer that has helped us through this transition. The new skills we are learning are excellent! Thank you for welcoming us.

I live in Niagara Falls within walking distance (literally less than a minute), to a very well known dog training school. I've tried them and now I've tried Unleashed and I have to say it is absolutely worth the extra 20 minute drive to St. Catharines. If you want a dog training experience that is actually fun for you and your dog, that focuses on the positive, and works on building your bond and partnership with your dog (not domination over your dog), then I highly recommend Unleashed. I'm looking forward to our next class with Candace, and I know that Teddy is too!
Loved our class. Great experience, knowledgable and helpful. Will definitely continue going to further our pups training

We finally adopted our first puppy and were very lucky to find Unleashed. Judith has been patient, communicative and very helpful in helping us work with our bundle of energy. Thank you Unleashed!

I have been attending classes with unleashed for a few years now. Candice and Judith are both amazing dog trainers ( and people trainers too). They work with you and your dogs needs. Under their guidance I have been able to achieve great things with my young dog, both with his manners at home and have made some big milestones when it comes to sports and titles. I have learned to have fun and how to get creative when it comes to keeping my senior dog fit, happy and engaged. if you just want a happy dog with great manners that your friends and family are jealous of, or if you want to earn sports titles then just say "YES!" To unleashed Niagara.

My rescue dog Trixie and I just graduated from Level 1. Trixie was a very nervous rescue when we started. Her school mate Harper was a rescue with different issues. Candace understood the dogs and was able to revise training to meet the needs of each dog and make it a great experience for all of us!

Amazing!! The best trainers around, will always recommend to people.

I have taken my crazy hyper Aussie Doodle Hazel to Sit Down and Stay since she was a little puppy. I can’t imagine going anywhere else. Positive training that is enjoyable and works! When I am home my dog is never on a leash because I know I was taught a strong recall. They also offer so many other programs where your dog can continue to learn and keep active. Only possible downside is I think Hazel loves Candice more than me

I have brought my dog Hotch to Sit Down and stay for almost a year now. I really can’t say enough good things about Candice! What sticks out to me the most is she trains every dog/human in the way that benefits them most. There is no drilling when it comes teaching the dogs new things and unlike other trainers I have tried she understands we are dealing with animals... not machines! I highly recommend her to everyone that asks and will continue to bring my dogs to her for years to come.

People meet me and say "what a well behaved dog". I can't talk so I just sit patiently and listen to my Mom go on and on about how great a trainer Candice is. She is that and she makes learning fun but she's a great people trainer too. My Mom learned the right way to train me. I love going to school. I love the teamwork that we've learned, and I love how people say "of course Happy can come over, she's a good girl"! Thanks Candice

I brought my very excitable, young lab to Sit Down and Stay for novice obedience. Pip had a tendency of jumping and barking when excited and I was looking for a way to focus her energy in a more positive manner.Candice’s approach is dog centred, which I loved. She recognizes that not every dog “fits the mold” and that sometimes you need to adapt to their personality/ history/ etc.Since completing novice we have also participated in outdoor distraction and a couple of seminar classes.Pip now happily interacts with people and other dogs and animals in a more calm and focused manner. Most importantly, we have a closer bond and are able to have fun learning new things!

Baya and I have loved our classes with SDAS. We started off with Agility (after passing assessment from our previous obedience classes from another amazing trainer). We are now on level 2 of agility and just had our first Flyball class.Baya has been less whiny and looking slimmer, the 2 main reasons we enlisted! Can’t say enough about Candace and her love for her students (2 and 4 legged).Looking forward to other classes

Can I just say I’m only in week 3 of novice and I took my dog for a walk today and it was the first time since he was born a year ago that I was not stressed out with him pulling on the leash? Honest to god- walking him ruined my day because he was so difficult to handle. MIRACLE WORKER.

I have a crazy Aussie who is full of energy and loves to work and play. I was having a hard time teaching her leash walking and heeling, after just a private session or two and she's crushing it.Candice taught us a lot and gave me a lot of stuff to work on with my dog and can't wait to continue lessons with her.would recommend to anyone. Definitely knows her stuff.
