Accomplishments and Titles
What is a title?
Titles are achievements won through competition. These competitions can include, but are not limited to, dog sports such as obedience, agility, conformation, lure coursing, herding, Rally, field, etc. Even therapy dogs can get official titles, ie. CGN - Canine Good Neighbour.
Titles are usually represented as letters that are officially added to a dog's name. For example, a dog might be officially registered with the Canadian Kennel Club as Parker's Faster than You (but his owners call him “Fido”). When Fido earns his Novice Agility title, he becomes Parker's Faster than You NA.
Our students work hard so it's nice for them to get some recognition!

Silo was adopted from the Niagara Falls Human Society in 2010. He started his training journey the moment he walked out of shelter and has loved every second. He excels at Scent and loves anything to do with Rally Obedience. He's an excellent demo dog and brings drive and excitement to anything that he does.

Sail is a bulldog mix from Georgia, USA. She's true to her Georgian roots and very much dislikes the cold. What she dislikes in cold she makes up for with fierce love for humans. Before achieving any titles, she achieved the even greater roll of playing Rufus, in the stage production of Legally Blonde with a local community theater. She was able to be on stage without a leash and was responsible for carrying a toy across the stage as well as doing a bow with the other actors during bows. No title will ever really replace the pride she had in herself during her times on stage. Her moms too ;)

Rescued from a high kill shelter in North Carolina, Stella had a bit of a rough start in life. Spayed at 3 months of age, loaded onto a 3 day transport by truck directly to a chaotic adoption event, placed with a family who did not have experience with a high drive dog, then surrendered back to the shelter as a youth due to problem behaviours. With patience, practice and a consistent hand, she has overcome those days and is on her way to being a star pupil and excellent companion. She is 11 pounds of pure energy, fearless in taking on whatever we ask of her, and loves to train because she gets all mum's attention all to herself!

Kuna is a medium mixed breed purchased unknowingly from a puppy mill. At the age of 6 she became very ill and was hospitalized for 4 days. She made a almost full recovery but the only thing that was permanently effected was her vision. Over the span of a year she went blind. It has not effected her spirit in any way, in many ways she's happier now than before. I'm convinced if she could see she would be my agility dog. She loves to work just at her own speed and only for food!

Dexter the happiest dog you will ever meet! He has the best smile and loves to work. His favourite sport is flyball. He loves to swim thanks to water training. He enjoys Rally, agility, learning tricks and obedience. He’s looking forward to trying scent in the future. In his free time he enjoys playing fetch and tug of war (he always wins). His favourite spot to hike is Woodend.

Paisley is the most lovable lab! She is incredibly smart and strong willed. Her stubborn side meant that all of our training has taken hard work. She's a bit of a scaredy dog when it comes to agility, but she las come leaps and bounds over the past few years and is now much more confident. She loves going to training and spending some one on one time with mom, without her little lab sis, Piper. When it came to welcoming a second pup in our home, Paisley has been a rock star. She was immediately and continues to be incredibly patient and affectionate. We're looking forward to more Rally trials in the future.

Wendel used to be scared of everything. He is a rescue he’s also worked hard to overcome lots of fears. He loves rally and agility. In his free time he can be found sleeping in the window or at his moms feet, lap, neck, shoulder...you get the picture. He loves kayaking with his mom and spending time at the cottage. He is just learning how to swim. He loves belly rubs and liver treats! His favourite place to hike is Woodend.

At the tender age of 15 weeks, McGee the Chi accompanied mum on a Canada-wide film festival tour and hasn't looked away from a spotlight since. Behind the cameras as a film set pup or in front of the lens modelling doggy outfits, showing off trick moves, or simply catching a tiny ball in his tiny mouth, McGee is all about working for the treat. He volunteered for Chihuahua Rescue & Transport and other dog rescue organizations, appearing at public events to promote dog adoption and responsible pet ownership. His live theatre debut at age 9 - playing Bruiser in Legally Blonde - lead to a star turn in a nation-wide tv commercial, proving that dogs of a certain age got it in spades. At five pounds, he is one of Unleashed Niagara's tiny dog graduates, and looks forward to continuing his participation in senior dog programs in the school and beyond.

Stevie came home with us at six months old and like many dogs born and socialized during the pandemic, Stevie needed some extra help learning about the world, so we reached out to Unleashed Niagara Under their guidance, Stevie blossomed from fearful to confident by exploring various dog sports. Having no knowledge of titles, but lots of encouragement from Candice, we decided to have a go. We have had the pleasure of working alongside Stevie in some of his favourite sports, which include flyball, agility, Rally-FrEe, and learning tricks. In his spare time, you can find him cuddling, playing fetch, solving puzzles, going for hikes, or hanging out backstage at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre with his dad.

Ziggy is an active and agile Brittany who loves to work and will do almost anything for a treat. He loves to run and explore, but is also great at finding the most comfortable spot on the couch. Along with his many Trick titles, Ziggy has participated in Sprinter, dock jumping and agility. We have enjoyed learning some flyball and most recently Rally-FrEe where we hope to continue to earn more titles. Next on the list to try is Scent Detection.

Oscar is a beautiful Rough Collie. He is very independent and smart as they come. While he doesn't have strong drives he learns easily and is very forgiving for my bad handling. He is my best friend, I am grateful for him everyday.
